Day 2 Set Build

Day 2 Sunday
Matty and Richard came back over and we picked up where we left off. The roughly assembled conveyor was lifted out of the garage and we set about strengthening it. Once complete we went on a shopping trip for materials.
We paid a quick visit to B&Q to pick up some wallpaper paste and a pack of batons before heading over to the flooring shops across the way looking for a conveyor belt. We couldn’t find any appropriate vinyl and so started to look at the backings of cheap carpets. On our way to check out another flooring shop fortune smiled upon us, next to the skips at the back of a unit laid a number of pallets in great condition, of which we were in need of two. On top of each pallet was a board pinned on as a base for whatever had been transported on them, which was better material than what I was going to use from my garage and there was more of it, easily enough for the job. Unbelievably next to this there were lengths of drainpipe of which we needed one to be a roller for the conveyor end. We picked up 1m of the cheapest black carpet and picked up our scavenged materials. This all saved a few quid and a healthy bit of re-cycling to boot.
Once back at my house I cut the drainpipe to length, drifted a spray can top into one end of it, squeezed it into place and hey-presto a conveyor roller. Once again we lost the light and called it a day.
As we loose daylight Matty provides an alternative
