Criminology Shoot 2, Hospital shoot one - 17 March

Graham and Phil rehearsing a shot.
On our first visit to the hospital the focus was on the twins shots with graham (as this was the only day that we would be able to work with him) and the leaders speech TV shots, to this end I took along my lovely late 60’s Sony portable TV for a prop (examples of which are in the Design Museum in London and the National Media Museum in Bradford).

Not in HD

Jodie who would be constructing the composite shot instructed us as to her requirements to complete it successfully in the edit. The camera was locked down and Dan and James helped with the script reading and blocking out of the other twin whilst Graham played each part. Graham was great creating two distinctive characters with different mannerisms, appearance and vocal performance. The Lighting for the shoot supported the large amounts of natural light already in the ward.

Originally planned as a short day, due to the complicated nature of the shots required it was an enjoyable and successful day, but a full one.

James blocks out and reads for the other twin.
